About:
Propmaker, Scenic painter, and small-scale construction
- Allround and adaptable maker of various things and decorations for stage and events.
I am currently Norway-based, and studying Technical Design with CAD 2D/3D through Noroff.
For the past three years I’ve been studying Scenic Arts – Props, Painting and Construction at Rose Bruford College. Through my education at RBC, I’ve obtained a good range of practical skills; scenic painting, prop making and CAD-drawings, to a very good standard. My strongest areas would be painting textures, decorative patterns, and making props in a variety of unconventional materials. I’m well trained in basic construction, machinery and tools for wood and metal. I have manufactured scenic elements and props to a good quality, even on low budgets and short time schedules.
My final dissertation practical research was about
Materials and Sustainability, to get a more adept experience in a wide spectre of materials, ranging from cardboard and foam, to thermoplastics and vac-forming, to coldcasting metal. The study was focused on the materials properties in terms of cost and impact - - especially the environmental footprint.
